Waiver & Liability Release
By participating in services provided by WAG WISE, including but not limited to: in-home dog training, behavioral work, socialization, and training in public or real world environments (including parks, stores, parking lots, and other distraction-heavy locations), I acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Assumption of Risk
I understand that working with dogs involves inherent risks, including but not limited to bites, scratches, falls, dog fights, unpredictable behavior, and property damage. I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any damage, injury, or harm caused by my dog to other dogs, people, or property.
2. Washington State Liability Release
To the fullest extent permitted under the laws of the State of Washington, I hereby release, waive, and discharge WAG WISE and its parent company ABC Happy Tails LLC, from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to any injury, damage, or loss that may occur as a result of participation in services.
3. Dog Behavior Disclosure
I acknowledge that I am responsible for fully disclosing my dogs known behavioral history, including but not limited to reactivity, fear, anxiety, or aggression towards people or animals. I will disclose any health issues, injuries, or medications that could impact training.
I understand that dogs with behavioral challenges may participate in training services and that such participation may increase risk.
4. Group Play & Socialization
I understand that group play environments involve off-leash interaction between dogs, which carries an increased risk of injury. While reasonable precautions are taken, no guarantees can be made regarding the behavior of other dogs.
5. Training Services
I understand that training may occur in both controlled and uncontrolled environments, including public access locations with unpredictable stimuli such as people, animals, vehicles, and other environmental distractions.
I acknowledge that training, including work with reactive or behaviorally challenged dogs, involves controlled exposure to triggers and situations that may result in heightened stress. I accept all risks associated with such training.
6. Acknowledgment
By agreeing, I confirm that I have read, understand, and voluntarily accept this waiver and release of liability.
